I Spy Orange And Snowballs

September brings a new color for the rainbow scrap challenge.  The new color is orange.  I did take time to make a couple orange house blocks.  I don't have many orange pieces of fabric.  I am sure I will find some more orange before the month is over.  If you want some inspiration go to Angela's rainbow scrap challenge.  I guarantee there will be lots of great orange things.

I made a couple more houses.  I now have a total of 35 houses.  I still need more houses before I have enough for a quilt.  Time to cut more blocks.

Last fall my friend Norece and I decided to make a flowering snowball quilt.  Norece made her quilt right away.  You can see Norece's quilt here.  I would make blocks and then put them away for awhile.  Well I finally finished the quilt.    Norece was kind enough to offer to quilt it for me.   That makes my quilt even more special.  It has been six years since I have made a new quilt for our bed.

All fabrics are Kansas Trouble.  I made an extra block for the label.
I Spy a baby quilt.
I need two baby quilts for gifts.  Here is one of them in progress.

  3. That's a neat idea for a baby quilt. I need to make one soon too, and I was already thinking of a big star surrounded by scrappy. Great minds think alike, Karen!
