I haven't participated in
Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2015 for awhile. The rainbow color for July is Red.
Mina at Kinda Quilty has inspired me to make more house blocks. Last year I made some houses but I wasn't sure how I would finish them into a quilt. Thanks to seeing Mina's house quilt I am determined to make a house quilt.
I now have 24 house blocks and need at least that many more. Cutting more house blocks will be on my to do list.
I did have fun making this crayon holder. The pattern is simple. Thanks
Sharon for the inspiration to make them. I will make more for gifts.
I hope everyone has a Happy Fourth of July.
Karen
Your house blocks are adorable.
ReplyDeleteLovely neighborhood! Too bad we seldom see red houses in real life any more. They are so festive!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute house blocks. Bonnie Hunter has a nice setting idea for the same block, it is on the free pattern tab of her blog: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2005/06/happy-scrappy-houses.html
ReplyDeleteIt might be worth taking a look when you collect together enough houses for a neighborhood.
Cute little houses. So cheery and welcoming. A great addition to the neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteWhat cute house blocks. I made a RSC Happy Scrappy House quilt last year.
