Hands2Help Checking In

I sent my fabric to my swap partner Shannon. I know Shannon has received the fabric and already has plans for the quilt. I know I will received her fabric this week. I can't wait to see what Shannon has sent so I can decide what pattern to use.

I have been working on my Orange Monochromatic Challenger over at Judy's. I have all the blocks sewn together. I am working on the strips. I hope to have them finished by Friday.

A random fact about myself is I am left handed. By being left handed it takes me a little longer to figure out how to use the rulers. I turn the ruler many times before I cut the fabric. I always try to remember to measure twice and cut once.

Blessings, Karen

I Spy

This I Spy Quilt is now a flimsy. It turned out great. I need to find a backing fabric. I am going to Shipshewana this coming week-end and I hope to find the perfect fabric. Seeing the I Spy Quilt almost finished makes me want to start another one. I have tons of blocks just waiting to become I Spy Quilts.

I pray you have a very Blessed Easter.

Puzzle Fabric

Have you seen this puzzle fabric? It is cotton multi color Jigsaw Puzzle Autism fabric by Timeless Treasures. The print is the symbol for Autism Awareness. It will be the border for an I Spy Quilt for a young man with Autism. The I Spy Quilt blocks are snowballs. I need to put the puzzle borders on the quilt and then it will be ready to quilt. I love the bright colors. I think the puzzle pieces keep us connected to each other through our quilts and giving the quilts to others. What do you think?

My Very First Post!!!

I have been reading blogs for over two years now. There are many bloggers who inspire me so I have decided to give it a try. I have been quilting for about 5 years. I have made many prayer quilts over the past few years. I enjoy making charity quilts. Today I was inspired by Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge. So hop on over to Sarah's blog Confessions of a Fabric Addict and check it out. I hope I can bring inspiration and joy to you. Hugs, Karen
