Friendship Stars

Angie at Quilting on the Crescent got me interested Quilty 365.  Quilty Folk is encouraging us to make one circle block a day for 365 days.  I didn't wanted to make circle blocks. I have wanted to make friendship star blocks for a long time so I decided to do stars instead of circles.  I started sewing stars on November 10.  I now have 23 blocks.  My friend Norece is making Road to Tennessee blocks.
I hope you will go to Quilty 365 and be inspired to join in the fun.

I have made one lime rainbow block and it will probably be the only lime block this month.  I don't have lime fabrics and I don't have time to make rainbow blocks.  I am gathering ideas for the rainbow challenge 2016.  I have not decided what blocks I will be making.

Last evening my quilt friends and I had our Christmas gathering.  I made each one of them a thread holder and filled it full of candy,

Here is the link to the tutorial to make these thread holders.  These are quick and easy gifts to make.

I need to finish a quilt for a young man who is going through cancer treatments.

Have a sew fun day.
