It's Whoop, Whoop Friday

This week I finished another I Spy quilt.  I had these 6.5 inch blocks so I decide to make snowballs.   This is # 6 quilt for the hospital gift shop.

I am not doing very well on my second quarter "Finish-a-long".  Hopefully this a holiday week-end I can make some progress.  My H2H charity quilt is finished and mailed.

Hope you have a safe and "sewing" holiday  week-end.

"Queen Bee" Quilt

I finished this retirement quilt for a coworker.  She has been a cook for 35 years for the school district that I work at.  I made this jelly roll quilt in our school colors.  There are bees in the yellow fabric and our mascot is Yellow Jackets.  Every time she saw one of the quilts I made she liked them so now she will have her very own quilt.  We made a special "Queen Bee" label and all the cooks signed their name on the label.

I even finished it a week before her retirement party.
I think that deserves a "Whoop, Whoop".

Hope you have a sewing day.

H2H Quilt

I have completed my Hands 2 Help challenge quilt. I am donating this quilt to "Quilty Hugs" and/or "Happy Chemo". If you go to Em's Scrapbag you can see more "Quilty Hugs" quilts. There is still time for you to donate a quilt to H2H charity challenge.

I am also linking up with Sarah who issued the H2H challenge. You can see many more H2H quilts over at Sarah's. The only thing left to do is put the quilt is the mail.

 Happy Sewing.

Finishes

I have finished this prayer quilt. I need to attach the label and deliver it. I think these Kansas Trouble fabrics made this quilt look rich. Can you see all the prayer ties for my friend?
I am a member of my local hospital auxiliary. I volunteer in the gift shop at the hospital. There are ladies who donate afghans to the gift shop. I decide I could donate baby quilts. This is quilt #5. The gift shop gets a quilt donation, and the auxiliary gives the revenue to the hospital, and I get to work on improving my free motion skills. I consider this a win, win, win.
I am off to work on a retirement quilt and I think I will stop over at Sarah's to see what everyone else has been working on this week.

Happy Sewing.
